You know the transformation scene from the 90s anime Sailor Moon. Ribbons, stars and sparkles, and the costume appears one piece at a time. This prompt does the same thing to your dog.

The dog stays a real dog, with real fur. Only the costume, the light and the starry sky look like anime. First the paws light up, then the eyes turn into galaxies. After that a collar and a big bow appear, then cuffs, a pleated skirt and a tiara. At the end the dog sits and pants happily at the camera.

All you need is one clear photo of your dog and the prompt below.

The whole process

  1. Pick one clear photo of your dog. The whole dog, good light.
  2. Open OpenArt, go to video and pick Seedance 2.5.
  3. Add the photo as the only reference image.
  4. Set 30 seconds and 9:16.
  5. Paste the prompt as it is and press Generate.

Pick the photo of your dog

The photo is the only thing that tells the model what your dog looks like. The breed, the fur colour, the face, the ears. So pick a good one:

  • The whole dog is in the photo, not only the face.
  • Good daylight, no heavy shadows or filters.
  • One dog only. If there is a person, a leash or a toy, the prompt tells the model to ignore them, but a clean photo works better.

Sailor Moon dog transformation: Seedance 2.5, 30 seconds

[LOOK — LOCKED, APPLIES TO EVERY SHOT]

Photoreal live-action dog composited into a 90s hand-drawn magical-transformation anime sequence. Clean digital cinema capture: sharp individual fur strands, shallow depth of field with soft round bokeh, fine grain, soft bloom halation on bright highlights, deep clean blacks. Grade: cobalt and sky-blue hero tones, silver-white highlights, small warm gold accents, shadows biased to deep navy-violet. Ice-blue rim light separates the fur from the background. The dog stays fully photorealistic — real fur, real anatomy, real weight; only the effects, costume glow and background are anime-styled. Locked-off frames or slow, smooth camera moves only.

@Image1 defines the dog: the same as in the reference image — breed, fur, face, ears, eyes, proportions. Use only the dog. Do not use the background, collar, leash, people or objects from @Image1. One dog throughout.

[Generation Goal]

A 30-second vertical magical transformation sequence in hard cuts: the dog from @Image1 receives a blue magical sailor-guardian costume piece by piece. From 7s onward the setting is a timeless cosmic void: deep navy-to-violet gradient, radial white and ice-blue god rays from behind the dog, iridescent soap bubbles slowly rising, twinkling stardust.

0-2s: Extreme close-up, top-down, the dog’s front paw on a black glossy surface. Ice-blue energy dots light up at the base of each claw and shoot out thin blue light beams with small star sparkles.

2-7s: Extreme close-up of the eyes. The dog closes its eyes, then opens them: rainbow shimmer in the irises turns into a starry galaxy, a four-point anime star flare bursts from the eyes, the irises settle to deep blue-violet galaxy.

7-11s: Full shot. The dog stands in the void and slowly turns 360 degrees on the spot while a translucent glowing sky-blue ribbon spirals up around its body from paws to head.

11-14s: Medium close-up of the chest. The ribbon tightens on the chest, a flash of blue glitter, a gold winged heart brooch with a faceted blue crystal appears, then a cobalt sailor collar with white trim and gold edging unfolds with a large sky-blue satin bow.

14-16s: Close-up. The dog sits and lifts one front paw. Ice-blue energy rings spin around both front wrists, a pop of sparkles, ruffled blue cuffs with small bows appear on both front legs.

16-18s: Low-angle close-up of the hind legs. Two blue energy rings spin around the ankles, a wave of light, matching blue cuffs appear.

18-21s: Side close-up of the hindquarters. In a burst of gold and blue dust a layered pleated cobalt skirt with gold trim opens around the waist, and a large sky-blue satin bow blooms above the base of the wagging tail.

21-24s: Medium shot. The dog in the full costume turns from profile to face the camera and takes a few calm steps forward. A luminous rainbow light arc spans overhead.

24-26s: Close-up of the forehead. A cross-star flare flashes between the ears, a gold tiara with a glowing faceted blue heart gem forms on the forehead, blue ribbons fall beside the ears. The dog lifts a confident gaze to the camera.

26-30s: Medium frontal. The dog sits proudly in the full costume, mouth open in a happy pant, tongue out. God rays, bubbles and stars fill the background. The lower third of the frame stays clear.

[Maintain Consistency]

One dog, identical to @Image1 in every shot. Natural dog anatomy: four legs, dog posture, paws not hands, never standing on hind legs. Each costume piece stays on once it appears and stays blue. The dog does not speak. No text or logos in frame.

Audio: (bright, sparkly magical transformation music with chimes and soft synth pads) <chime glissando on each cut> <sparkle pop as each costume piece appears> <soft whoosh of the ribbon> <happy dog panting in the final shot>.

Your dog photo is @Image1, the only reference. Set 30 seconds and 9:16.

Why this prompt works

Real dog, anime magic. The LOOK block splits the frame in two. Real fur and real weight for the dog. Anime glow, stars and god rays for everything else. That mix is what makes people stop scrolling.

One costume piece per shot. Collar, front cuffs, back cuffs, skirt, tiara. Each shot has one small job, so the model does not have to dress the whole dog at once. That is how the anime did it too.

Pieces stay on. “Each costume piece stays on once it appears.” Without this line, the collar can disappear when the skirt shows up.

The dog stays a dog. Four legs, paws not hands, never standing on its hind legs. Magical girl scenes are full of human poses, and the model loves to copy them.

It never says Sailor Moon. The prompt describes the style in plain words: 90s hand-drawn anime, sailor collar, tiara. A brand name can make the model refuse, or draw the anime heroine instead of your dog.

The bottom of the last shot is empty. “The lower third stays clear.” That leaves room for a caption or the Reels buttons, and they do not cover the dog.

Make it your own

  • Change the colour. The costume is all blue, like Sailor Mercury in the anime. For a pink look, swap cobalt and sky-blue for pink and rose in the LOOK block and in every shot. Keep “stays blue” in the last block in line with your new colour.
  • Try it with a cat. We made it with a dog only. For a cat, change “dog” to “cat” everywhere, and “happy dog panting” to “cat blinking slowly” at the end.
