OpenArt vs Vosu: More Images or More Video?
The credit numbers look close and mean different things. One entry plan buys about 4,000 images, the other buys about 145 videos.

Round by round
| Criterion | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | OpenArt | $14/mo against $15. On a yearly plan both land at $13. |
| Images at the entry tier | OpenArt | About 4,000 images for $14 against about 2,000 for $15. |
| Videos at the entry tier | Vosu | Up to 145 videos on the $15 plan against about 50 on the $14 plan. |
| Easy credit maths | OpenArt | One credit is about one image, so you can read the plan card as an image count. |
| Licence clarity | OpenArt | OpenArt says commercial rights start on Plus. Vosu does not publish licence terms at all. |
| Model no one else has | Vosu | Sora 2 is on Vosu and on none of the other four platforms we track. |
| Newest image models | OpenArt | GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5 are all named there. |
| Extra build tools | Vosu | Node workflow builder, 3D generation and voice cloning. OpenArt has none of these. |
Both platforms sell one subscription that opens a shelf of models. You pay monthly, you get credits, and the credits buy images and video. Kling, Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.5 run on both, so the model list will not choose for you.
The real split is what a credit buys. On one platform a credit is close to an image. On the other a credit is a small slice of a video. That single difference flips the answer depending on what you make.
The short version
There is one catch on each side. OpenArt does not include commercial use on its cheapest plan. Vosu does not publish its licence terms anywhere on the pricing page.
What you actually pay
I read these prices off each platform’s own pricing page on 11 September 2026 and clicked every billing toggle.
OpenArt
| Plan | Credits | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 4,000 | $14 | $13 |
| Plus | 12,000 | $34 | $27 |
| Pro | 24,000 | $56 | $44 |
| Wonder | 106,000 | $240 | $175 |
Vosu
| Plan | Credits | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 8,000 | $15 | $13 |
| Creator | 27,500 | $49 | $42 |
| Business | 74,000 | — | $110 |
| Enterprise | Custom | — | — |
Vosu’s Business monthly price was not shown when I captured the page, so only the annual figure is above.
The credit is not the same unit
Vosu has twice the credits at the entry tier. That looks like a win until you read what each platform says those credits produce.
| Entry plan | Price | Credits | Images | Videos |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OpenArt Starter | $14/mo | 4,000 | ~4,000 | ~50 |
| Vosu Starter | $15/mo | 8,000 | ~2,000 | up to 145 |
So Vosu charges about four credits per image and OpenArt charges about one. Twice the credits buys half the images. In the other direction, Vosu gets nearly three times the video out of a plan that costs a dollar more.
If you are budgeting, ignore the credit column. Compare the image count and the video count instead.
The commercial licence catch
OpenArt’s Starter plan does not include commercial use rights. They begin on Plus, at $34 a month. If you sell client work, OpenArt’s real entry price is $34, not $14. At that price you get 12,000 credits, which is about 12,000 images or 150 videos.
Vosu’s pricing page does not state licence terms on any plan. I could not confirm what it grants, so I am not going to claim it is better or worse here. Check before you sell anything you make there.
Model access
Both carry Seedance 2.5, Kling, Veo 3.1, Runway, MiniMax and PixVerse. Vosu does not name Seedance 2.5 on its pricing page, but it runs there. I have generated with it.
| Model | OpenArt | Vosu |
|---|---|---|
| Sora 2 | No | Yes |
| GPT Image 2.5 | Yes | No |
| Nano Banana Pro | Yes | No |
| Seedream 5 | Yes | No |
| Kling 3 Omni | Yes | No |
| Wan 3.0 | Yes | No |
| Ideogram | No | Yes |
| Recraft | No | Yes |
| Vidu | No | Yes |
| Hunyuan 3D | No | Yes |
Sora 2 is the one that decides things for some people. Of the five platforms I track, only Vosu names it.
Read the “No” cells as “not published”, not as “not available”. Every pricing page I checked understates its own catalogue.
Which to choose
| If you | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Make mostly still images | OpenArt | About 4,000 images at the entry tier |
| Make mostly short clips | Vosu | Up to 145 videos at the entry tier |
| Want Sora 2 | Vosu | The only one of the two that has it |
| Want the newest image models | OpenArt | GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana Pro, Seedream 5 |
| Sell client work on a cheap plan | Neither, read first | OpenArt starts rights at $34, Vosu does not say |
| Want to reuse a whole pipeline | Vosu | Node workflow builder, plus 3D |
| Want credit maths you can do in your head | OpenArt | One credit, one image |
What this comparison does not cover
I have accounts on both and I generate on both. The pricing and catalogue figures above still come from each platform’s own published pages, because those are the numbers you can check yourself.
What this page does not do is run the same prompt through both and judge the results. Same prompt, same model, two platforms, different result is a real thing, and I have not tested it here.
I also could not compare cost per finished video. Neither platform publishes a credit cost per generation, so the “up to 145 videos” and “about 50 videos” figures are the platforms’ own claims, not numbers I checked clip by clip.
Questions
Which is cheaper?
At the entry tier they are within a dollar of each other. The cheaper one for you depends on whether you count images or clips.
Can I try either for free?
OpenArt advertises a free start but does not publish the allowance. Vosu shows no free tier on its pricing page. Neither gives a number I can quote.
Does Vosu really have Seedance 2.5?
Yes. It is not on the pricing page, but I have generated with it there.
Is the node builder worth the switch?
Only if you repeat the same multi-step job. A node canvas pays off when you run one pipeline on a new product every week. For one-off images it is extra work.
Which one has more models?
Vosu advertises “50+ more models” beyond its named list. OpenArt advertises over 100. Both numbers come from marketing pages and neither is a full list.
